Volunteer with Ensemble Stage!
Become more involved in the ongoing life of Ensemble Stage and see a show for free. We have plenty of volunteer opportunities as we kick off a brand new season.
Performance ushers/Concessions- Volunteering for usher or concessions, you'll work closely with the House Manager to preset for shows, assist patrons, and a light clean up afterwards. You should arrive 45 minutes prior to performance start time. Most importantly, you can watch the performance while you’re there! Click the button below to get signed up.
Costume Stitcher/Alterations- Perform minor alterations and repairs to costumes on an as needed basis.
Set Deconstruction- After final performance of a production, taking apart the the standing set and preparing stage for the next set to be put in.
Opening Day Prep/Clean-up- General cleaning and straightening of the auditorium, box office, hallway and restrooms on the day of a production opening.
Prop/Costume Pick-Up and/or Return- Willing to assist with returning and/or retrieving props, costumes, set pieces (furniture) to or from our storage containers located in Banner Elk. (**HAVING A TRUCK OR VAN TO HELP WITH THE MOVE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED**)
Patron Parking Assistant- Direct patrons on where and how to park once they arrive at the designated Ensemble Stage Patron Parking Area.
Board Member- Play an integral role in the development of Ensemble Stage
Administrative Help in the offices – stuffing envelopes, sending mailings.
Committee Member – Be a part of the decision making process with various projects (fund-raising, marketing, play reading, patron and donor engagement, etc.)
Mobile Ambassadors – distributing/posting. flyers, recruiting volunteers, recruiting groups for group sales.
