Meris GanttWe are currently in the process of recruiting performing arts lovers to be members of our Board of Directors. If this something you feel you might be interested in please read the following criteria.
All Board members must be lovers of the performing arts
Board members must attend at least one performance of each stage production, at least two end of class ceremonies and at least 7 of the 12 monthly board meetings per year.
Executive Board members’ permanent residence must be within a 50 mile radius of Blowing Rock.
The Board of Directors must plan, organize and present at least two fund-raising events per year.
Board members must each raise or donate at least $5,000.00 per year in monetary giving and/or in-kind services.
These are a portion of the by-laws that are currently in the process of construction but the ones we feel are the most important to achieving and sustaining our success. There will be some allowance for “wriggle-room” on some of these, but the one by-law that is hard and fast is that you MUST be a lover of the performing arts and be passionate about sharing it.
